Bravo Kosher Pizza Opens New Times Square Location
New York City’s kosher food scene has just received a significant boost with the opening of a new Bravo Kosher Pizza location at 877 8th Avenue, near the bustling corner of West 52nd Street. This latest addition to the Bravo Kosher family marks an exciting expansion for the renowned pizzeria brand, bringing its delectable offerings to the heart of Manhattan’s Theater District and adjacent Times Square.
Part of a Growing Empire
Opened in August 2024, this new Bravo Kosher Pizza follows in the footsteps of other openings. The first was near the Empire State Building at 378 5th Ave, and others have since closed, including one that previously existed in Brooklyn but has since rebranded. It is not entirely clear what the ownership structure of Bravo Kosher locations is, with some potential franchises or licensed in some other manner. This new location near Times Square, though, is, to our understanding, “corporately owned.”
It is important to note that some Bravo locations are not kosher.
Known for Great Pizza and More
As noted in our ranking of the best kosher pizza and kosher restaurants in Manhattan, the Bravo location near the Empire State Building got high marks, as evidenced by a high rating from Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy, known for his discerning pizza reviews. We have yet to try this new location but have high hopes. In addition to regular and specialty pizzas, there will be pasta, mozzarella sticks, and fish dishes, among others.
A Kosher Oasis in Times Square
The strategic location and late hours of this new Bravo Kosher Pizza offer a much-needed kosher option in an area frequented by tourists and theatergoers. There are limited kosher pizza options in the area, though there are a number of other options, such as the storied Le Marais.
