Fish Grill Arrives In Brooklyn
Fish Grill, originally of Los Angeles fame, with a location in Lakewood too, has now arrived in Brooklyn with a location at 1267 Coney Island Avenue (between Avenues I and J). The opening comes at a welcome time for an otherwise struggling Flatbush kosher food scene that has steadily deteriorated as more and more from the Jewish community move to communities such as Lakewood, the Five Towns, and Miami.
The Menu
The online menu has the usual suspects for a place called “Fish Grill” with some more unique additions. Fish and chips is certainly the hallmark item on the menu but a variety of grilled fish, tacos, chowder, and sandwiches are on offer too. For those not keen on fish, there are various pastas.

Our Take
To give Fish Grill a try, we had to order the classic fish and chips with fries. The fish tasted super fresh and had that sought after crisp. With that said, and as you can see from the photo, at least for our order, the fish was quite small and not the classic lengthier shape of all-time favorite fish and chips. We also did not get any vinegar which should be a standard accompaniment in our view.
