- The famous Miami bakeshop, called Zak the Baker, has opened a falafel pop up. Â
- The annual Kosherfest convention has been postponed due to COVID-19, and a new date has not been announced. It was scheduled for the beginning of November.
- Patis Bakery is opening a Crown Heights location in the storefront that used to be Izzy’s Taqueria. The now-shuttered taqueria will incorporate its favorite menu items into its ever-popular sister restaurant Izzy’s BBQ Smokehouse. Patis specializes in french style pâtisserie items as well as other bakery favorites. Â
- The first kosher restaurant has opened in Dubai, the most populous city of the United Arab Emirates. The opening comes on the heels of the peace agreement between the UAE and Israel. Located in the tallest building in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa, the restaurant is part of the Armani Hotel Dubai. In addition to the restaurant being open to the public, guests of the hotel will enjoy the option of kosher in-room dining. The restaurant is kosher certified by the Chabad of Dubai, led by Rabbi Levi Duchman.Â
